This platform helps the different business entities of Hilti’s Strategic Marketing department to become more data-driven while supporting Global Hubs/Markets in their daily business.

You will work daily with architects, data engineers, data scientists and data analysts to support them in building a state-of-the-art marketing data platform.

This full‑time position is available as soon as possible.

What does the role involve?
Data infrastructure Deployment and Operations:
  • Automate, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud‑based data platform, focusing on availability, performance, and scalability using AWS services like Athena, Glue, S3, Redshift, Redshift Spectrum, and EventBridge.
  • Utilize Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure as code.
Continuous Integration and Tooling:
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, integrating with development workflows for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Work with data engineers and data scientists to support their daily developer experience.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions, including CloudWatch, to track system health, performance, and metrics.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues to ensure reliability and minimal downtime.
Process Improvement and Documentation:
  • Recommend and implement improvements to system architecture and operational processes, emphasizing scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, including network diagrams, component architecture, and DevOps workflows, and share best practices with the team.
Collaboration and Security :
  • Work with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with security standards and successful completion of audits.
  • Promote and implement best‑in‑class cloud security practices to safeguard critical systems.
What you need is:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on DevOps and/or DataOps experience. AWS certification is an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including S3, Athena, Redshift, Aurora DB, Lambda, and IAM. Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). Experience with GitLab CI/CD for building and managing CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and containerisation tools (e.g., Docker). Expertise in monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana) for system health and performance tracking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and detail‑oriented approach.
Who should apply?

Working in our infrastructure team goes beyond pure DevOps and DataOps tasks. We are building “easy‑to‑use” services to improve the productivity of our Data Scientists, our Data Engineers, and our Data Analysts when they are innovating with data and AI on our platform.

For you, it means unrivalled opportunities to work and develop an international career and have an impact on the shape of things to come.

What do we offer?

In addition to a competitive base salary and bonus potential, we offer a robust benefits package including a generous paid time off policy that includes vacation, personal days, and 1 day per year to give back in your local community, medical/dental/vision coverage, and a variety of other benefits to fit the needs of our employees.

We will give you the tools you need to succeed through hands‑on integration training and will support your continued professional development through ongoing training and mentoring, targeted leadership programs, and opportunities for international assignments in any of the 120+ countries in which we operate.
