Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager. We are seeking a technically skilled Data Support Engineer to assist researchers and traders with data access, usage, and quality.

You will onboard new hires and help improve data tooling, pipelines, and documentation. You will collaborate with data engineers and leverage Python and data libraries to resolve issues, manage data coverage, and ensure seamless data operations across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in data support/IT helpdesk, ideally within finance.
• Strong command of Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Proficiency with data systems, pipelines, and APIs.
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to researchers and traders for data access and usage.
• Collaborate with data engineers to resolve data issues.
• Onboard new hires and train them on using data tools and processes effectively.
• Manage JIRA workflows, track support requests, and ensure timely resolution of data issues.
• Contribute to data documentation and best practices.
• Contribute to extending data coverage (live collection and backfills).

Your future role within QRT

• Provide first-line support to researchers and traders for data access ad usage.

Your present skillset

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
