What you will do :

As a Data Scientist, you will be part of the Data Enlightenment team (including Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers) with the mission to empower TheFork with a strong data foundation and culture, leveraging Data Science and AI, leading to innovative marketplace solutions.

You will report to the Data Science Manager and be part of a team of 3 other Data Scientists.

Within a product team, you will help accelerate strategies and projects through Data Science, ML, and AI applications.

You will work on TheFork B2C (website/app) and B2B (TheFork Manager) products, developing a deep understanding of their value propositions to deliver top-tier data and AI components.

As part of the Data Enlightenment team, you'll also be involved in building the AI/ML platform, working closely with Data Ops, ML Ops, and other technical stakeholders to define components, tools, and processes for deploying AI/ML products in production.

Examples of projects include:

• Building recommendation algorithms for our app and website
• Enhancing restaurant ranking in search engines
• Classifying restaurants based on reviews, images, menus, and other data sources
• Using GenAI to generate restaurant descriptions from reviews

In ML Ops, you might:

• Create dashboards to monitor AI/ML project costs
• Automate ML model deployment and lifecycle management
• Monitor performance of GenAI and ML systems

The outcomes of your role include:

• Delivering high business value through deployed projects
• Creating impactful projects around personalization, search, content, forecasting, and GenAI
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are well-shaped, monitored, and actionable
• Ensuring assets are scalable, performant, and cost-efficient
• Elevating the Data Enlightenment team’s expertise in Deep Learning and related fields
• Enhancing the AI/ML technical stack to support growth and new projects

Who you are :

• Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a PhD in a related field
• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer
• Experience integrating AI/ML into large-scale B2C/B2B products
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to model complex problems and extract insights
• Expertise in Deep Learning and fields like Computer Vision, Ranking, NLP, Search, Recommendation
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for developing and industrializing data solutions
• Knowledge of Data Science industrialization (ML Engineering)
• Professional proficiency in English
• Based in Paris
