What\'s the role?

As a Data Scientist in Hilti Strategic Marketing’s AI Accelerator, you will play a pivotal role in developing impactful AI solutions. You will be responsible for data cleaning, building data science models, evaluating results, and providing actionable insights and improvements. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Data Scientists, Developers, business stakeholders and senior leadership. This full-time position is available as soon as possible.

What does the role involve?
  • Data Analysis and Solution Design: Analyze business data and design appropriate Data Science solutions leveraging machine learning models and statistical tools.
  • Business and Customer Needs Assessment: Understand and analyze business and customer needs that drive impact on digital net sales, productivity and customer experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Architects, and stakeholders to create innovative Data Science solutions for business problems.
  • AI innovation: Design, develop and integrate ML, Data Science and GenAI solutions to our business problems in an independent and agile way.
  • Support and Methodology: Provide hands-on support to global cross-functional journey teams in journey refinements and methodology, including journey mapping and documentation.
  • Drive AI adoption: As an ambassador and driver of AI adoption across marketing and sales in Hilti, you will get the chance the challenge status quo not only in Strategic Marketing, but across global operations. For this, you will bring a growth mindset, and a passion for harnessing the opportunities and rethinking processes in various departments via AI.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Leverage cross-functional agile teams involving stakeholders from Regional Marketing teams, global Business Units, Corporate Functional Areas, and Market Research to support the communication and delivery of work aligned with the organization’s mission, values, behaviors, and customer-centric elements.
What you need is:
  • Master of Science or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, or related scientific fields)
  • 4+ years full time employment as Data Scientist, ML engineeror AI Engineer.
  • Proven hands-on experience inMachine Learning, GenAI, multi-agent frameworks, and writing production pipelines; experience applying recent AI advancement and deep curiosity and passion about the field.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills in Englishto effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
