Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Integration
- Collect, clean, integrate, and analyse internal and external data sources.
- Investigate datasets to uncover correlations, relationships, and hidden patterns.
- Manage and merge multiple structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring dataset consistency and reliability.
- Advanced Analytics & Modeling
- Create and test hypotheses based on business challenges.
- Identify appropriate mathematical models and algorithms to optimise decision-making.
- Apply and fine-tune algorithms using data science tools and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, ELKI).
- Lead the process of applying data analytics across the organisation.
- Visualisation & Insights
- Select and design appropriate visualisation models depending on the datasets and business questions.
- Deliver insights through optimised analytics processes and advanced data visualisations (e.g., Power BI, Cognos).
- Communicate complex patterns and recommend practical applications for business impact.
- Big Data & AI
- Provide expertise in big data technologies, from infrastructure to software optimisation.
- Identify and propose quick-win solutions with high business value using big data and advanced analytics.
- Explore and apply AI tools related to data processing and predictive analytics.
- Support the development of reporting and advanced analytics requirements.
- Governance, Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, data protection rules, and legal requirements.
- Implement preventative strategies for data security and risk management.
- Provide inputs to align analytics initiatives with business priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Reporting & Business Support
- Analyse and provide expertise to increase the business value of reporting and BI activities.
- Support stakeholders in interpreting analytics outputs and setting effective KPIs.
- Contribute to the agency’s agility by applying innovative data-driven solutions.

Who we think you are
- Education : Minimum 4 years of relevant education (Master’s degree or equivalent) after secondary school.
- Experience : At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in data science, business intelligence, or advanced analytics.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical models and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency with BI and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos).
- Proven ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making and value creation.
- Familiarity with big data ecosystems and advanced analytics methodologies.
- Ability to set and monitor KPIs, interpret business data, and align outputs with organisational goals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of IBM Cloud Pack for Data.
- Experience with BIGSQL Data Modelling Language and SQL.
- Cognos knowledge (both as user and administrator).
- Experience with advanced analytics libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, ELKI).
- Understanding of the institution’s challenges in adopting big data and advanced Analytics.
