Pepco is building its Tech Hub in Porto and is seeking a Data QA Lead to establish QA processes for the enterprise data platform. You will design automated data validation, profiling, and quality monitoring across IT and business teams.

You will collaborate with data engineers and analysts, define QA strategy, monitor data quality KPIs, and champion data quality culture while supporting major releases and platform upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field; certifications in QA/data testing advantageous.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data quality, QA or test automation.
• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes or data warehouses.
• Familiarity with data testing frameworks, data validation scripting, and QA automation tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and tools such as Azure, DataBricks, Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data quality dimensions: completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness.

About the role

At Pepco, we’re growing fast and building our Tech Hub in Porto to support our business across Europe.

We are looking for a Data QA Lead to join the team. In this role, you will establish and maintain data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used by the enterprise, as well as work across IT and business teams to implement automated data validation, profiling, and quality monitoring as part of the data platform lifecycle.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications in software/data testing, QA, or data quality tools (e.g. ISTQB, DataOps) are advantageous.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a data quality, QA or test automation role.
• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes or data warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with data testing frameworks, data validation scripting, and QA automation tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and tools (e.g. Azure, DataBricks, Snowflake).
• Strong understanding of data quality dimensions (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, etc.).
• Good documentation, analytical, and issue resolution skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Able to operate independently while contributing to cross-functional delivery goals.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on approach
• Ability to work in an international and fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English (mandatory) – you will work daily with international stakeholders
• Clear communication and team collaboration
