Mistral AI is seeking a Data Infrastructure professional to design, build, and operate the backbone of our frontier model training and fine-tuning ecosystem. You will help scale massive compute fleets and data storage, ensuring secure, governed access for MLOps and research across on-premise and cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Data Infrastructure, MLOps, or Infra Engineering.
• Experience with compute and storage platforms.
• Proficient in Python and data lake challenges.
• Familiar with Kubernetes-native tooling and multi-cluster environments.
• Ability to build scalable, secure systems from scratch.
• Comfort with ambiguity in rapid-growth AI env.

• Build & Scale: operate massive distributed compute and storage systems.
• Global Orchestration: maintain multi-cluster orchestration layers across regions.
• Design Future-Proof Storage: transition to modern storage formats for exabyte-scale data.
• Platform Engineering: develop internal training platform on Kubernetes and SLURM.
• Metadata & Lineage: provide visibility and data/model lineage as pipelines grow.
• Operational Excellence: use modern deployment workflows for scalable, reliable data platforms.
