Alan is building the new standard in prevention insurance and is hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. The Data Team creates insights to help colleagues focus on what is most impactful and builds features powered by data that directly help our members.

We work with a nimble data stack using SQL, Python, R, Airflow, Snowflake and Metabase. You’ll contribute across analytics, engineering and science with ownership and real impact on health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Fluent and clear in English, both oral and written.
• Experience or willingness to grow in analytics, engineering and science.
• Proficient in SQL, Python and/or R.

The Data Team

  • going deep into health consumption patterns,

  • understanding our product usage,

  • creating visibility to help our sales team perform,

  • automating how we reimburse our members,

  • building products that help our members stay healthy...

We also believe in having a full stack approach:

• Each one of us contributes to all 3 aspects of the data spectrum (analytics, engineering, science). This encourages strong ownership and drives impact.

• We own our infrastructure. We pride ourselves on a nimble data stack that gives us the flexibility we need. We're mainly using SQL, Python, R, Airflow, Snowflake, and Metabase.

• We build in-house tooling to organize our data and serve it to the rest of the company.

Expected skills and abilities

You would thrive at Alan if most of this sounds like you:

• Passionate about owning ambitious problems and developing simple solutions for them

• Demonstrated impact during a first successful experience.

• Experience or willingness to grow in all 3 aspects of the data spectrum (analytics, engineering, science) -- being specialized in one of these areas is good too!

• Proficient in SQL, Python and/or R- Setting a high standard of rigor and precision for yourself, interested in your craft

• Great listening and communication skills

• Humble, kind, collaborative, and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!)

• Fluent and clear in English, both oral and written (no need to speak French!)

For this role we are looking to hire within the C1-E level range.
