SMG Swiss Marketplace Group is seeking a Data Engineer to help shape and contribute to our data lake, analytical stack, and data services from our France hub in Sophia-Antipolis. You will extend the data infrastructure using modern tools to address growing AI needs while collaborating across six countries.

You will work on building pipelines, productionizing ML-driven services, and enabling data-informed decision making. Fluency in English is required; French or German is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering code in a production environment.
• 3+ years of experience working with large volumes of data.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Ability to work across different teams and navigate ambiguity with a positive can-do attitude.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
• Capable of investigating, familiarizing, and mastering new data sets quickly.

As a Data Engineer in the Data Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and contributing to the development of our data lake, analytical stack, machine learning, and data services capabilities.

This role allows you to extend and continuously improve the current data infrastructure utilizing the latest tools & technologies to address our growing AI needs while contributing to our overarching goals and mission.
