Job summary

A leading data center services company in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance work. This role involves on-site support for mission-critical infrastructure at data center facilities. Responsibilities include hardware installations, structured cabling, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have strong cabling skills, experience with server hardware, and professional communication skills. Data center certifications are preferred. This position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
