Job Summary
Applies acquired job skills to work on tasks that are semi‑routine in nature. Focus is on semi‑routine tasks within standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.
Responsibilities
- Perform semi‑routine preventative maintenance checks on non‑critical facility components.
- Repair, maintain and install non‑critical facility components.
- Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and respond timely to semi‑routine alarms according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist more senior staff in higher facility repairs and corrective maintenance measures.
- Operate plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems under the supervision of senior technical staff.
- Follow established procedures on routine work; request instruction only on new assignments.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure maintenance activities are carried out per Equinix requirements.
- Support the work order approval process for service providers on routine maintenance work, including briefing at start, work during day/shift and final review of work performed.
- Ensure vendor maintenance activities are carried out per Equinix standard operating procedures.
- Maintain semi‑routine site logs for permits such as Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts.
- Support on‑site site administration following operating procedures.
- Complete semi‑routine work requests and circuit installations.
- Follow established procedures for troubleshooting and maintaining office equipment; support auxiliary equipment and machines.
- Assist senior staff with responding to on‑site incidents as directed.
- Collaborate with others to resolve semi‑routine facility incidents.
- Provide assistance to senior staff on infrastructure projects.
- Inform stakeholders of inventory needs to maintain stock levels of parts and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities (Data Center Critical)
- Execute daily technical checks of infrastructure equipment, take preventive measures, perform emergency corrective operations, and involve competent providers when necessary.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on campus site equipment.
- Make electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic consignations.
- Implement and supervise external contractors, verifying their qualifications, methods, and tools.
- Define, maintain, and inventory critical spare parts.
- Participate in repair and corrective maintenance operations.
- Detect malfunctions, formulate diagnosis.
- Write intervention reports to track operations (CMMS).
- Transmit information to Campus Facilities Manager.
- Understand and apply control and test procedures.
- Propose technical and energy improvements.
Reporting
- Produce and/or ensure the reliability and punctuality of production of all requested reports by hierarchy, group, and Equinix France teams.
- Contribute to defining relevant indicators for activity steering and reporting.
Training Required
- Bac Pro or BTS Génie climatique / Maintenance industrielle.
Technical Skills
- Confirmed experience as a technician in electricity or climate engineering, ideally in similar data‑center environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance imperatives in industrial and tertiary environments.
- Technical versatility.
- Ability to interact in English with clients, both written and spoken.

Work Hours
