Job summary

Avalore is seeking a Data Architect to design and implement data architectures across several cloud-based applications. The role involves building ETL pipelines, integrating data flows with standard systems, and ensuring performance and security in diverse OS and cloud environments.

Ideal candidates will have strong Python skills, experience with AWS, Hadoop ecosystems, and NoSQL/SQL data stores, with clear communication for technical and non-technical audiences. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Job description

The Data Architect will support the requirements for new system capabilities and enhancements for multiple applications in the customers' cloud computing environment.

• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and data management.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple OS environments including Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud environments, including AWS.
• Demonstrated experience with development environments including AWS, Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS), Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Demonstrated experience conducting data processing activities.
• Experience working with Python
• Demonstrated experience building executing ETL pipelines
• Demonstrated experience with integrating data flows with industry standard systems such as Niagra Falls
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be a proactive problem solver
• Experience providing clear and concise communications for both technical and non-technical audiences

Desired:

• Knowledge of targeting workflows, tools and environments
• Experience with Large Language Models and agentic workflows.
• Experience with graphical databases such as Neo4J
• Experience working with a hard target mission area.

Work Environment:

• Moderate noise (i.e.business office with computers,phoneand printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
