Our shared values at the CEA: A Sense of Responsibility, Cooperation, and Curiosity.
Joining the CEA means joining a public research organization whose mission is to provide the government, businesses, and local authorities with the resources they need to tackle the major challenges of our time: the energy transition, climate change, the energy sources of tomorrow, the medicine of the future, digital technologies, and defense.
Joining the CEA means becoming part of a research, development, and innovation environment with a unique culture, heritage, and facilities. In fact, we lead all French research organizations in the number of patents filed!
Joining the CEA also means becoming part of a company committed to promoting a healthy work-life balance (company-wide agreement on quality of life at work, profit-sharing, numerous sports and cultural clubs organized by our employee committee, and CEA bus routes available to employees).
Come join us on the CEA adventure!

The CEA is a major player in research, serving citizens, the economy, and the government.
It provides concrete solutions to their needs in four main areas: energy transition, digital transition, technologies for the medicine of the future, and defense and security—all built on a foundation of basic research. For more than 75 years, the CEA has been committed to advancing the scientific, technological, and industrial sovereignty of France and Europe, working toward a more controlled and secure present and future.
Located in the heart of regions with extensive research infrastructure, the CEA has a wide range of academic and industrial partners in France, Europe, and around the world.
The 20,000 CEA employees share three core values:
The Department of Accelerators, Cryogenics, and Magnetism (DACM) is part of the Institute for Research on the Fundamental Laws of the Universe (Irfu) within the CEA’s Directorate of Fundamental Research. It is located at the Saclay campus. These facilities have been renovated and consolidated into a large complex called “the Synergium,” which covers an area of 25,000 m². The DACM, which is home to 75 research engineers and 45 technicians, is tasked with conducting, in collaboration with the national and international community, to carry out world-class research and development in the fields of particle accelerators, cryogenic systems, and superconducting magnets for fundamental research. For many years, it has played a major role in the construction of the high-tech instruments required for this research.
Within this department, the Cryogenics and Test Stations Laboratory (LCSE) is seeking a cryogenics/thermal/hydraulics engineer.
