The ILL in Grenoble seeks a technician to manage cryogenic fluid distribution and helium recovery, joining the Services for Advanced Neutron Environments. You will also help design future cryogenic systems, and perform checks, maintenance, and monthly reporting on consumption.

The role requires a Level 5 qualification in physical measurements, hands-on electronics, mechanical awareness, and strong teamwork in an international setting; fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification in physical measurements is required.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and web applications is expected.
• Experience with embedded electronics and some mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Strong team player with a service-oriented attitude and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in developing unique devices in a multicultural, international setting.
• Fluent English is required as the working language.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for cryogenic fluid distribution and helium recovery.
• Perform regular checks to ensure distribution and recovery systems work properly.
• Maintain and requalify equipment, upgrade measurement electronics.
• Produce monthly reports on helium consumption and recovery.
• Contribute to design and construction of future cryogenic systems.
