Job summary

IXO Inc. seeks a remote accounting contractor to produce schedules and test AI-followed accounting logic. You will build ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718 schedules and reconciliations, and prepare disclosures.

The role requires an active CPA, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel with QuickBooks experience. Remote, approx. 10 hours weekly; rate $121/hour and scope agreed before start.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel modeling; QuickBooks experience.

Job description

Produce accounting schedules, close materials and technical explanations that test whether AI can follow real accounting logic.

What you will do

• Build Excel schedules for ASC 606 revenue, ASC 842 leases, ASC 718 stock compensation, deferred taxes and consolidation eliminations.
• Summarize statement impacts, accounting policies and control observations in PowerPoint and technical memos.
• Create close packets, audit workpapers, tie-outs, variance analyses and draft disclosures.
• Reconcile the flow from subledgers and journals through the trial balance to the financial statements.

Required background

• An active CPA license in any US state.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and experience with close, audit and reporting workflows.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements, footnotes and supporting workpapers.
• Advanced Excel accounting-modeling skills and QuickBooks experience.
• Interest in improving AI accounting and reporting reasoning.

Preferred background

• Two to ten years in public accounting or corporate reporting.
• Experience with technical accounting, complex transactions or SOX.
• An undergraduate degree from a top-50 institution or relevant master’s from a top-20 program is optional.

Availability

• Remote and asynchronous, approximately 10 hours weekly when work is active.

Pay and engagement

• $121/hour
• Amounts are in USD.
• Your hourly rate and scope are agreed before work begins.
