Job summary

Bank of America in Paris is seeking a Compliance and Operational Risk Specialist to support the Chief Compliance and Operational Risk in second line oversight. You will help implement global policies, monitor regulatory changes, and coordinate risk reporting across the enterprise.

The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, risk identification, escalation, and mitigation within BofA Securities Europe, aligning with enterprise policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Assesses risks, controls, and their effectiveness while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Supports compliance and risk oversight for Front Line Unit or Control Functions and third parties.
• Identifies and escalates issues to address root causes and mitigate losses.
• Coordinates risk management reporting to governance bodies and committees.
• Supports responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations.
• Keeps a comprehensive regulatory inventory and tracks changes in the regulatory environment.

Role Description:

This job is responsible for assisting the Compliance and Operational Risk officer team and especially BofASE Chief Compliance and Operational Risk to execute second line of defence compliance and operational risk oversight for BofA Securities Europe. Key responsibilities include ensuring requirements of the Global Compliance Enterprise Policy, the Operational Risk Management Enterprise Policy (collectively "the Policies"), the Compliance and Operational Risk Management Program and Standard Operating Procedures are implemented and identifying, challenging, escalating, and mitigating risks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in assessing risks, associated controls and their effectiveness, while driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, and developing reporting and documentation
• Engages in activities to provide support to the Compliance and Operational Risk teams in order to provide independent compliance and operational risk oversight of Front Line Unit or Control Function performance and any related third party/vendor relationships in alignment with the Global Compliance - Enterprise Policy, the Operational Risk Management - Enterprise Policy (collectively the Policies) and the Compliance and Operational Risk Management Program and Standard Operating Procedures
• Assists in identifying and escalating problems or issues that arise and drives actions to address the root causes that lead to compliance risk issues and/or operational risk losses
• Assists and/or coordinates risk management reporting to Legal entity governance (such as Risk and Controls committees)
• Assists and/or coordinates responses to regulatory inquiries, other audits and examinations, Regulatory reporting's (such as Annual Report on Internal Control and RCSI Report)
• Monitors the regulatory environment to identify regulatory changes applicable to area(s) of coverage and maintains a comprehensive regulatory inventory
