You will oversee the accounting for corporate structures, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance, while driving process improvements and coordinating with operations, CRM and product teams to deliver high-quality financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.

Tasks / Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the delivery of the accounting for corporate structures ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Constitution, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure full adherence to the prevailing control environment.
• Be a leading participant in the continuous development of our operating processes and procedures.
• Be an escalation point for technical queries accounting and tax from all relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain the relationship with all relevant stakeholders and be the escalation point for certain specific stakeholders for Apex
• Influence and work with various stakeholders to lead the risk, Cost and Control agenda for Group
• Translate strategy into an operational plan for delivery and provide oversight and guidance to ensure organisational leadership and day to day business running
• Work closely Operations and wider CRM and Product team
• Develop and foster key relationships within business / product line and promote an environment of personal development and continuous improvement
• Drive strategic dialogue across operations and businesses to prioritize key initiatives
• Proactively analyse and identify possible risks and issues within the organisation that could impact daily process and service delivery
• Ensure stakeholder awareness, engagement, and support through effective and timely communication
• Support the development of an environment where people management and development are top priority. Coaches' direct reports and others in the organisation, as appropriate.
• Develop talent within the organisation and active diversity leader within the management team
• Actively supports Groups strategy, plans, and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture
• Acts as a role model for all employees
• Create, drive, evolve and sponsor franchise initiatives to leverage technology and business process management solutions to reduce operational process and drive exception-based business management

Areas of key focus

• Performance analysis Analyze and report the performance and productivity of the team
• Prepare internal reports for executive leadership
• Perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward
• Client Profitability Support the analysis, interpretation, reporting and presentation of data
• Ensure implementation of standardized processes and procedures
• Improve reporting processes
• Assist in Identifying cross/up sell opportunities in existing client base and maximise revenue for Apex
• Process development Review existing procedures, processes, and challenges to recommend where automation or improved processes could be implemented
• Analyze business from both senior management and operations team's perspective to find adequate and effective solution design
• Support CRM team to ensure we have service level agreement agreed on accounting/deliverables for all clients
