Opportunity

EHSS is the number one priority at Primient. The Corporate Environmental Engineer (CEE) will provide support to all Primient sites and the corporate EHSS team to ensure sustainable compliance with environmental laws, prepare sites for changing regulations, validate compliance, provide guidance, support permitting and government communications, and develop local environmental risk control.

Accountabilities
  • Support environmental compliance activities under direction of the Corporate Environmental Manager, ensuring safe operation of facilities and equipment to protect health, safety, and the environment.
  • Promote employee and contractor engagement in Environmental program development and compliance obligations.
  • Develop, promote, and provide active support for the Environmental Management System, sharing best practices and domain expertise.
  • Act as a domain expert on environmental risks related to control systems, services, products, and entire lifecycles—providing resources and advice to mitigate those risks.
  • Support, develop, and communicate performance progress against defined goals/objectives to the Corporate EHSS team.
  • Build relationships of trust; foster cultural growth and development, educational knowledge sharing, and empowerment at all levels.
  • Leverage knowledge of environmental performance models, control systems, cycles, and program development to create tactical advantages.
Main Accountabilities
  • Deliver comprehensive knowledge and expertise across all environmental processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Advise and implement compliance tools at local and enterprise levels as required.
  • Provide frequent updates on Environmental Management System changes to Local and Corporate leadership.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports for compliance tracking and active environmental projects.
  • Provide coaching and training for the Environmental Management System.
  • Create learning experiences that share best practices, challenges, and cultural themes to improve environmental performance and compliance.
  • Stay current on all environmental program changes and implement required adjustments.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities when necessary.
  • Facilitate environmental governance program for site and enterprise levels.
  • Prepare environmental reports for executive discussion, guided by the Corporate Environmental Manager.
  • Lead, engage, and participate in Environmental Management System assessments.
  • Analyze environmental compliance needs, incidents, and near‑miss statistics jointly with site and Corporate EHSS teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years experience in a process‑manufacturing environment, leading environmental teams/programs.
  • Experience with air permitting and implementation of air permits (including Title V).
  • Experience with RCRA waste regulations, CERCLA, and EPCRA (including TRI and Tier II reporting).
  • Experience with change management that reduces environmental incidents and fosters a compliance culture.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (standard work, 5S, Kaizen, Gemba).
  • Extensive experience with environmental digital tools (Gensuite, SAP, etc.).
  • People‑driven compliance objectives with excellent analytical, project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong root‑cause investigation techniques.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills; proven analytical and organizational capability.
  • Ability to travel within North America up to 50% as needed.
Total Rewards

Annual pay range: $100,855.20 – $126,069.00 (bonus eligible). Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and fit with role responsibilities.
