ScaleX Invest is seeking a hands-on analyst with valuation fundamentals to help onboard VC and Private Equity funds by structuring high-quality investment data. You will prototype fixes with AI coding tools, unlike handing off to a tech team.

A great stepping stone towards a future Private Equity role, you will work closely with the COO & CPO to support client onboarding, data operations and product delivery for VC, Growth Equity & PE funds.

• Ability to turn raw data into valuation-ready inputs.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools for prototyping solutions.

Responsabilités

• Client data onboarding: translate data into import specs and prototype checks.
• Product ownership & AI prototyping: own features end to end, prototype tools with AI coding.
• Valuations: review, normalize KPIs and maintain private peer databases.
• Improve valuation methods: backtesting and ensure controls and traceability.

Where most analysts hand the problem to a tech team, you'll prototype the fix yourself with AI coding tools.

Job description

Reporting directly to Edouard (COO & CPO), you will contribute to client onboarding, data operations and product delivery for VC, Growth Equity & PE funds.

Client Data Onboarding:

• Translate client data into import specs, and prototype the checks that validate them
• Validate post-import datasets (reporting, cap tables) with financial sanity checks
• Flag data gaps early and propose pragmatic fixes to keep onboarding on track

Product Ownership & AI Prototyping:

• Own client-specific features end to end: spec, prioritise, test, ship, drive adoption
• Prototype internal tools, client-facing mockups and data checks with AI coding tools
• Turn recurring manual work into small apps and automations you own

Private Markets Valuations:

• Review and normalise reporting KPIs (revenue, EBITDA, key operating metrics)
• Select relevant private peers and maintain private comparable databases
• Contribute to improving and training our peer-matching algorithms

Valuation Method Improvement:

• Run backtesting and correlation analyses to assess model robustness
• Contribute to IPEV-aligned controls: consistency checks, documentation, traceability

Your profile

• You have a first exposure to Venture Capital, Growth Equity or Private Equity, and you're curious about how funds operate.
• You have solid foundations in private markets valuation, and you're comfortable working with financial statements, turning raw data into valuation-ready inputs.
• You've built something with AI coding tools: a small app, a scraper, an automation…
• You can write a clear spec: what the user needs, why, and how you'll know it worked
• You are comfortable with advanced Excel; Python or SQL is a plus.
• You are fluent in French and English, as you will work in an international environment.
