Job summary

Concentrix is seeking a Controller to lead the 7-day month-end close for the EMEA region, ensuring IFRS/US GAAP compliance and accurate balance sheets for the France region. The role collaborates with FP&A, AP, GLSS, and intercompany teams and supports SOX controls and audits.

A strong focus on process improvements, stakeholder relationships, and timely reporting is required, with flexibility around month-end and year-end deadlines.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years’ accounting experience.
• Pursuing an accounting qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Meet monthly close deadlines and deliver in-country close deliverables.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for France region and quarterly reviews.
• Post journals to the general ledger and support related balance sheet activity.
• Manage SOX compliance and controls for the EMEA region.
• Provide commentary on P&L variances from statutory accounting perspective.
• Support auditors during internal and external fieldwork and resolve issues.

Reporting into the Accounting Manager EMEA, the Specialist Accounting is responsible for the delivery of a quality and timely closing of each period end (7-day month end close) for the EMEA region in accordance with IFRS &/ US GAAP requirements.

A significant focus of the role is to ensure month end, quarter-end and year-end processes are executed to a high degree of accuracy meeting tight reporting deadlines. You would be also responsible to ensure clean a balance sheet on a monthly basis for UK and Ireland countries. During month end, you will be working closely with the FP&A, AP, GLSS and Intercompany teams, ensuring P&L variances are sufficiently satisfied for statutory accounting purposes.

You would also continuously drive improvements to internal processes and controls primarily within the EMEA Controller team but within the wider EMEA group, particularly around SOX controls which impacts the Controller team. A further focus area is to build a good working relationship with key stakeholders in the business units, in order to improve overall knowledge, thereby increasing the level of understanding and questioning.

The role also provides support to the Accounting Manager EMEA & Director Accounting EMEA during internal & external audit fieldwork, and the subsequent resolution of any audit issues.

It should be noted that tight reporting deadlines would often require a degree of flexibility regarding working hours, particularly around month end, quarter end and year-end.

• Managing ‘in-country’ deliverables to meet finance closing deadlines
• Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly balance sheet reviews for France region
• Responsible for the labour related entries
• Posting journals to general ledger for related balance sheet accounts activity and support team
• Responsible for managing SOX compliance and controls for the EMEA region
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to accruals and prepayments
• Review the accuracy of general ledger accounts, investigate & identifies issues, and make recommendations
• Responsible to review month end P&L trend variances are true and fair from a statutory accounting perspective
• Providing commentary on variance from expectations and other key matters
• Responsible for Transfer Pricing activities as part of the month-end processes
• Year-end closure and preparation of information for auditors and dealing with their queriesProvides ad-hoc support to the EMEA Accounting leadership team

Skills & Experience

• Part Qualified Accountant - with at least 3 years of experience working within an accounting role
• Studying towards an Accounting qualification
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to engage with senior level
