Job summary

Sidetrade Group in Paris is seeking a Functional trainer who translates a customer’s Order-to-Cash needs into Sidetrade design, delivering measurable results. You will run workshops, shape configuration, train users and administrators, and ensure go-live becomes adoption and value.

You will work with a Customer Experience team, a Project Manager, a Customer Success Manager and Implementation Engineers, plus AI agents.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years as a functional consultant or trainer in B2B SaaS.
• Knowledge of Order-to-Cash, credit, collections, cash application or accounts receivable.
• Confident leading workshops with finance teams up to Director level, explaining trade-offs in plain language.
• Strong training skills and comfort with ERP extracts, mappings, reconciliation.
• Hands-on use of AI tools and the ability to review AI-generated output before it reaches a customer.
• Ability to run several projects in parallel with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional workshops for each module, map current-to-future processes for each user profile.
• Design the solution and own the Set Up Book; advise on options, risks and ERP impact, configure modules.
• Contribute to the customer’s Success Plan ensuring design choices tie to O2C KPIs.
• Build and deliver training for administrators and end users with a certification path.
• Post go-live, adapt settings and support adoption, value realization, and health checks.
• Help shape our AI-led implementation method and document design lessons.

What you will do:

As a Functional trainer, you are the person who understands the customer’s Order-to-Cash business and turns it into a Sidetrade design that delivers measurable results. You run the functional workshops, shape and validate the configuration, train users and administrators, and make sure go-live turns into adoption and value.

You join one continuous Customer Experience team that owns each account from signature to value realisation and expansion. You work alongside a Project Manager, a Customer Success Manager and Implementation Engineers, and with AI agents that pre-configure the platform, validate data and generate training content. Your role is the judgement those agents cannot provide: the right design for this customer’s business, explained in plain language and owned through to results.

• Lead functional workshops for each module in scope, building on the executive and operational discovery, and map current-to-future processes for each user profile: collectors, credit analysts, cash appliers and managers.
• Design the solution and own the Set Up Book: advise on options, risks and ERP impact, drive sign-off, and configure our Collections, Cash Application, Credit Risk and Disputes modules within product standards, increasingly live with the customer through AI-assisted configuration.
• Contribute to the customer’s Success Plan, so every design choice traces back to the O2C objectives and KPIs agreed with the executive sponsor, such as DSO and overdue reduction.
• Build and deliver training for administrators and end users from the customer’s actual configuration, with a certification path that makes go-live a non-event.
• After go-live, adapt settings as usage matures and work with the Customer Success Manager on adoption, business reviews and health checks, spotting where more value can be unlocked.
• Help shape our AI-led implementation method: test the agents, feed back what works, document design lessons in our knowledge base, and coach newer colleagues so the next project starts stronger.

What you will bring:

• 3 to 5 years as a functional consultant, trainer or implementation consultant in B2B SaaS, with projects that went live and stayed live.
• Knowledge of Order-to-Cash, credit, collections, cash application or accounts receivable, or the proven ability to learn it fast.
• Confidence leading workshops with finance teams up to Director level, turning business requirements into configuration and explaining trade-offs in plain language.
• Strong training skills (e-learning experience is a plus) and comfort with data: ERP extracts, mappings, reconciliation.
• Hands-on use of AI tools in your daily work, and the judgement to review, challenge and correct AI-generated output before it reaches a customer.
• The ability to run several projects in parallel with attention to detail, and the candour to raise issues early.
• Fluent English; a second European language (French, Spanish, Italian, German) is a strong advantage. Degree in a relevant field (finance, business, information systems) or equivalent experience; a CICM, AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification is a plus.
