A leading global animal health organization is seeking an individual consultant to analyze PVS data related to antimicrobial use and resistance. The role involves conducting detailed analyses, developing indicators, and delivering visualizations to inform health systems capacity. The ideal candidate has a graduate degree and over 10 years of relevant experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills. This remote position offers a competitive daily rate.
ASSIGNMENT : INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT FOR ANALYSIS OF PVS DATA ON AMU / AMR AND HEALTH SYSTEMS CAPACITY
The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) is a leading intergovernmental organisation representing 183 Members worldwide. Through its activities, WOAH improves animal health, protects animal welfare, and strengthens Veterinary Services. WOAH provides transparent information on worldwide animal health and promotes international standards, especially the safety of trade in live animals and animal products.
WOAH operates a global “One Health” approach, combining animal and human health. It supports national Veterinary Services of Members, mainly through the Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) Pathway, a flagship capacity‑building platform with more than 145 participating countries and over 500 reports.
The WOAH Capacity‑Building Department (CBD) is digitalising all PVS processes, data collection, and analysis. The resulting PVS Information System (IS) offers dashboards and key performance indicators that inform WOAH programmes and partner initiatives (World Bank, FAO, WHO, etc.).
The consultant will work remotely under the supervision of the Capacity Building Head of Department and in close coordination with senior PVS staff and the VP/AMR Department.
Conduct a cross‑sectoral analysis of PVS data related to antimicrobial use (AMU), antimicrobial resistance (AMR), veterinary medicines and biologicals, and related capacity. The outcomes will inform WOAH’s 5‑year roadmap for the UNGA declaration on AMR, the 20th anniversary of the PVS Pathway, and other initiatives.
