Job summary

Chubb European Group Ltd. seeks a portfolio management professional to oversee product line portfolios, analyze claim trends, and drive underwriting strategies within the Commercial Insurance business unit.

You will coordinate with Line of Business managers and central actuarial teams to implement pricing changes, improve segmentation, and ensure data-driven profitability. Collaboration with Claims and Technology teams will optimize data capture and implementation of pricing rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product line portfolio management, including claim trend analysis to drive strategies and underwriting rules.
• Identify additional areas of portfolio review for constant/consistent portfolio optimization.
• Work with Line of Business managers to implement changes to strategies, pricing, guidelines and underwriting rules.
• Oversee product pricing, including pricing models; identify external data and tools useful in pricing and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with central actuarial and analytics resources to improve pricing segmentation and implementation; develop and manage a local actuarial team.
• Engage with Claims to optimize data capture, definitions and accessibility for insights into loss cost trends for pricing and underwriting changes.
• Collaborate with technology management in project prioritization and planning for Master Package on Duck Creek and Ignite products.
• Manage and develop profitability of PDA, MGA and facilities within the Commercial Insurance BU.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

• Oversee product line portfolio management, including claim trend analysis, to utilize data to drive strategies and underwriting rules.
  • Required to identify additional areas of portfolio review for constant/consistent portfolio optimization.
  • Based on the portfolio analysis, work with the Line of Business managers to implement changes to strategies, pricing, guidelines and underwriting rules.
  • Oversee product pricing, including pricing models. Responsible for working to identify external data and tools that are useful in pricing and analytical analysis of profitability.
  • Work closely with central actuarial and analytics resources to consistently improve pricing segmentation and implementation. Develop and manage a local actuarial team.
  • Engage with Claims to ensure that data capture, definitions and accessibility are optimized to enable best/fastest insights into loss cost details and trends for consumption by business units to inform pricing and underwriting changes.
  • Collaborate with technology management in project prioritization and planning to understand future resource needs, specifically with the build out of Master Package on Duck Creek and the ongoing support for Ignite products.
  • Manage and develop profitability of PDA, MGA and facilities within the Commercial Insurance BU.
