Commercial Counsel - Blockchain Infrastructure

Location: Remote - Must be in the European Union (remote‑first, office optional). France/ Paris or as close as possible, is always preferred.

Compensation: $95K - $140K

Join a stellar team of leaders and experts building the backbone of blockchain wallet infrastructure for the next financial era. We are hiring a Commercial Counsel to own and drive all contract‑related legal matters for our platform. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a hands‑on, critical role in supporting our international growth while ensuring compliance within the fintech and crypto regulatory landscape.

This is a high‑autonomy role where you will be directly responsible for accelerating deal flow while protecting the company’s interests. You will act as a key partner to our Sales, Product, and Operations teams, responsible for building the scalable legal foundation that supports our expansion across the globe.

Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of complex commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, partnership deals, and vendor contracts.
  • Process & Efficiency: Develop and maintain playbooks, templates, and scalable contract processes to help deals close faster.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure alignment with applicable data protection, financial, and crypto regulatory frameworks.
  • Due Diligence: Oversee the legal aspects of the vendor onboarding process, including conducting Know Your Business (KYB) and other due diligence checks.
  • Business Advisory: Advise internal stakeholders on contract risks, obligations, and compliance, ensuring a pragmatic balance between legal risk and business goals.
  • External Counsel Management: Collaborate with and efficiently manage external counsel workflows when needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years experience in commercial or contracts law, preferably in an in‑house setting.
  • Admittance: Admitted to practice law in France, the EU, or the US (multi‑jurisdictional expertise is a strong plus).
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong track record drafting and negotiating complex B2B commercial agreements.
  • Industry Familiarity: Familiarity with contracts specific to SaaS, fintech, or blockchain sectors is preferred.
  • Mindset: Pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance speed, risk, and core business priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English (French is a plus).

  • Compensation: Competitive salary range of €80,000–€120,000 per year (full‑time).
