Job summary

Pierre Fabre Laboratories is seeking a Chemical Expert for CMC on a permanent contract for our Toulouse site (Oncopole, 31). You will lead DS development and manufacturing, optimize small molecule routes, support scale-up, and transfer technology.

This is a hybrid role with strong cross-functional collaboration. You will manage CMC strategy, quality reviews, and regulatory submissions while ensuring budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Chemical engineer or PhD in chemistry.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in CMC through several clinical studies (phase 1 to phase 3).
• Fluent English essential.
• Extensive experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• You have managed a CDMO.
• Experience of technical leadership in chemistry and project management is required.

Responsibilities

• Propose a pharmaceutical strategy in line with chemical expertise and transcribe it into dossiers as a CMC expert.
• Carry out CMC quality reviews (module 3) of DS and project dossiers as an in-house chemical expert.
• Provide chemical expertise for all requests, and for technology and CMC watch; lead CMC work packages for new projects.
• Monitor work for quality/cost/timeframe and provide guidance to CMC Outsourcing Managers.
• Represent CMC chemistry to authorities; draft/validate quality modules for DS parts of INDs/IMPDs/NDAs/MAAs.
• Define and manage the chemistry budget for development phases.
