Overview

Cloud Infrastructure Senior Specialist – VMware / Hyper-V at HCLTech, Paris, with hybrid on-site three days per week. This is a permanent role at a prestigious client site in the banking sector, based in Paris.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement compute infrastructure services using Windows servers, Hyper-V 2016/2019, VMware vSphere 6x and 7.x, vCenter and hyperconverged platforms.
• Address issues related to Windows and VMware Server infrastructure.
• Manage software and hardware installations, specification, UAT testing, service transition, and handover of the environment to operations.
• Guide the execution of Incident, Change, Release, Problem, Performance, and Availability Management.
• Analyze and assess existing infrastructure and identify gaps in the current environment.
• Ensure overall system performance meets client expectations.
• Identify business requirements and incorporate new hardware and operating systems.
• Provide efficient solutions and implementations for private, hybrid, or public cloud infrastructure.
• Develop detailed plans to add new systems to the core infrastructure and evaluate integrated systems.
• Mentor and guide the team to adopt new technologies and solutions.

Job Requirements

• IT Diploma
• 8+ years of IT experience
• Experience with Hyperconverged platforms (e.g., Nutanix, VxRail) and AVS, VMware on AWS
• Experience with migration tools for P2V, V2V, P2P, cross-hypervisor and public cloud
• Experience with HPE, Dell or Cisco UCS
• Experience with Hyperconverged platforms VxRail or Nutanix
• Hardware and asset BOM validation experience
• Good understanding of datacenter services, networking, and storage
• Good understanding of public cloud (Azure or AWS) and VCF
• PowerShell or other scripting knowledge
• Strong collaboration, creativity, analytical skills, and proactive, methodical approach
• Ability to work with initiative and drive
• System thinking and holistic view; disciplined problem-solving
• Fluency in both French and English is mandatory to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners, both verbally and in writing.
