Job summary

Excelya is seeking a Medical Data Officer to contribute to the medical consistency of reported clinical data, working with the Study Medical Reviewer to ensure accuracy and analyzability in the database.

The role involves protocol review, data coding of adverse events, and medical data extraction to support key study milestones. Fluency in English and a medical or scientific background are required, with around 12 months of trial-related experience being desirable.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or scientist degree required.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Junior level with around 12 months experience in clinical trials or therapeutic development is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Protocol Review focusing on safety data, data to be coded, inclusion/selection criteria, study design and mechanism of action of the IMP.
• Database specification review and User acceptance testing on eCRF; use of validation tools for medical review.
• Identify and implement Important Protocol Deviation detection methods (specifications and UAT).
• Medical Coding of Adverse Events, medical and surgical history, treatments and indications.
• Medical Review may check data entered by investigators and raise manual queries for clarification or correction.
