Clean Harbors is currently seeking a Class A Driver (Retail Technician) to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide essential environmental services, including the collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, as well as recycling various materials such as light bulbs, oil filters, and engine fluids. You will also perform on-site cleanup activities to support our mission of maintaining a sustainable environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Efficiently pick up, pack, transport, and manage damaged and recalled products.
  • Load, pack, and segregate materials and waste products for safe transportation.
  • Drive a Box Truck to retail customer locations.
  • Engage with customers during each stop and ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare DOT shipping documents accurately.
  • Utilize laptops, printers, handheld devices, and iPhones to complete tasks.
  • Conduct jobs according to site-specific regulations and safety plans.
  • Prepare and approve all projects before shipment, in compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with all U.S. DOT requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% regionally.
  • Ability to use various devices, including laptops and mobile phones.
  • CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required.
  • Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
  • Previous experience in commercial driving.
  • Experience with route navigation.
  • Background in manual labor roles.
