EGIDE seeks a Chief of Staff to amplify the founders’ impact, driving strategic initiatives and aligning execution across the organization. You will help articulateEGIDE’s vision with clarity in a high-stakes environment.

This role blends strategy, operations, and external representation, requiring analytical rigor, financial acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset to accelerate growth across Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in demanding environments (consulting, startups, corporate strategy, or investment banking).
• Proven track record in defense, aerospace, or dual-use tech.
• Strong M&A/finance expertise.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.

About the Role

As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for EGIDE’s founders, enabling them to focus on high-impact decisions while you drive critical strategic initiatives. This role is at the intersection of execution, strategy, and external representation, requiring a unique blend of analytical rigor, operational excellence, and the ability to articulate EGIDE’s vision with clarity and conviction. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment across the organization and accelerating EGIDE’s growth in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

What You’ll Do

1. Strategic Partnership with the Founders

• Act as a sounding board and strategic sparring partner for the founders on all major decisions.
• Anticipate and surface critical issues, opportunities, and risks, providing data-driven and financially grounded recommendations (e.g., M&A, growth investments, capital allocation).
• Lead and support financial and strategic analysis for potential acquisitions, partnerships, or expansion opportunities.
• Ensure the founders’ time is optimized for the most impactful priorities.

2. Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Lead and coordinate fundraising efforts: prepare materials, identify targets, and manage investor relationships.
• Develop compelling financial narratives and presentations to secure capital and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and financial metrics to inform EGIDE’s financial strategy.

3. Market & Strategic Analysis

• Conduct deep dives into defence market dynamics, emerging threats, and technological trends.
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and product expansions.
• Synthesize complex information into actionable insights for the leadership team.

5. Cross-Functional Alignment

• Ensure seamless communication and alignment between executive leadership, engineering, business development, and public affairs teams.
• Drive internal initiatives that require cross-departmental coordination, removing blockers and accelerating execution.
• Facilitate decision-making processes, ensuring clarity and buy-in across the organization.
• Support Public Affairs in aligning external communications with EGIDE’s strategic objectives.

You Are a Fit If You Have:

• Deep defence sector expertise: A track record in defense, aerospace, or dual-use technology sectors
• Proven experience: At least 5 years in demanding environments (consulting, high-growth startups, corporate strategy, or investment banking).
• Financial and analytical rigor: Strong M&A, private equity, or corporate finance experience - ability to analyze complex financial data and drive strategic decisions.
• Operational excellence: Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure settings with minimal supervision.
• Strategic mindset: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex problems into clear, actionable plans.
• Communication excellence: Fluent in English (French is a plus); exceptional written and verbal communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences.
• Cultural fit: Hands-on, entrepreneurial, low-ego, and adaptable. Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage challenges.
