Gama in Ivry-sur-Seine, Île-de-France, seeks a Head of Software to own the software organisation across flight, test, infrastructure and GNC/simulation. You will shape architecture, set engineering standards, hire and mentor engineers, and stay close to code as the technical authority.

You will lead a small, motivated team, drive AI integration in software, deliver flight-grade embedded software, and oversee HITL and telemetry systems in collaboration with the VP of Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering, including 3+ years leading engineers
• Deep systems programming with C, C++, Rust or equivalent
• Experience shipping production-grade software on constrained hardware
• Track record of raising engineering standards in a small team
• Professional level English

Responsabilités

• Own the software architecture across flight, test, infrastructure, and GNC; decide what gets built and how
• Set and enforce engineering standards: code quality, review, tests, CI, release process
• Lead and grow the software team: hire, onboard, mentor, and be the technical reference
• Expand the use of AI within the software team
• Deliver flight-grade embedded software and own it through its lifecycle
• Oversee the HITL and telemetry system design and operation
