Job Overview

PSC Group is hiring a full‑time Chemical Plant Technician in Gibbstown, NJ. The role supports day‑to‑day product movement in a refinery setting and includes railcar loading, railcar switching, and marine dock transfers with a strong focus on safety and precision.

Work Schedule & Pay

12‑hour rotating shift (days/night/weekends/holidays). Pay range: $23.00–$26.00/hr with opportunities for advancement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Chemical Loader: Cleans, visually inspects railcars for mechanical soundness; connects/disconnects loading arm hose; inspects for leaks, weighs railcars, and completes required paperwork; performs any other assigned duties.
  • Rail Switchman / Locomotive Engineer Operator: Examines track list to plan railcars; operates trackmobile or locomotive to safely move railcars; communicates with rail team members, leadership, and customer contacts; performs any other assigned duties.
  • Dock Operator (On call): Meets with vessel person‑in‑charge; maintains detailed dock logs; operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual/motor‑operated valves; understands facility piping layout; gauges barge and retrieves product sample; performs any other assigned duties.
