Institut Curie invites a skilled researcher to join CellAction's Process Development group to advance manufacturing for cell-and-gene therapies. The role covers development and optimization of pre-GMP processes, scale-up readiness, and collaborative problem-solving across teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in cell/gene therapy process development, strong GMP knowledge, and fluency in English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in process development (cell therapy, gene therapy, or drug development)
• Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic mammalian cell culture, with preference for primary T-cell culture, activation and expansion systems
• Knowledge of analytical characterization and CQAs for cell/gene therapy products (titer, purity, potency, sterility)
• Hands-on experience with site-specific gene-editing technologies (e.g., CRISPR-Cas) desirable but not mandatory
• Excellent written and verbal communication; GMP and regulatory understanding
• Fluent in English; French a plus
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for cell and gene therapies, including viral and non-viral vectors and genome editing
• Transfer pre-GMP processes into robust, reproducible workflows for clinical manufacturing
• Develop analytical methods and monitor CPPs and CQAs to ensure product quality
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, troubleshoot, and support continuous process improvement
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure GMP/regulatory compliance
