FedEx Freight, Inc is seeking a professional driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, and experience meeting DOT standards. You will operate various tractor-trailer configurations, perform safety inspections, and ensure accurate documentation while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, haz materials and tank endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must possess acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR.
• LCV qualifications apply in specified states; awareness of long combination vehicles.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lb repeatedly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations including doubles/triples and straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies to/from tractors.
• Move freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when needed and complete required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate pick-up/delivery and solicit new business.
• Support the selling process by providing leads and customer service.
