Rely seeks a senior Architect to govern its autonomy platform and middleware ecosystem, enabling safe integration of autonomy components through APIs, runtime abstraction, sandboxing and rigorous conformance testing.

The role focuses on stable contracts, lifecycle workflows, and secure release processes, collaborating with DevSecOps and safety stakeholders to ensure independent, compliant ecosystem growth.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years in software platform architecture, robotics middleware, distributed systems, API governance or safety-relevant multi-supplier ecosystems.

Responsabilités

• Define stable platform contracts, APIs and runtime abstraction layers for autonomy components.
• Design conformance criteria covering safety, cyber, performance, interface compliance and field operability.
• Define sandboxing, partitioning and isolation strategies so autonomy modules cannot bypass T1.
• Create onboarding, review, signing and release workflows for certified autonomy components.
• Build conformance-test strategy with DevSecOps, V&V, autonomy and safety stakeholders.
• Maintain platform documentation for external contributors and internal teams.

Key objective — Create the governed platform and middleware ecosystem for safe integration of autonomy components.

Mission

Architect the autonomy platform and middleware that enable internal or third-party autonomy components to be integrated under control. The mission covers APIs, runtime abstraction, sandboxing, conformance tests, signing and release workflows, and rules preventing any T2 component from bypassing T1 or weakening the cyber trust chain.

• Define stable platform contracts, APIs and runtime abstraction layers for autonomy components.
• Design conformance criteria covering safety, cyber, performance, interface compliance and field operability.
• Define sandboxing, partitioning and isolation strategies so autonomy modules cannot bypass T1.
• Create onboarding, review, signing and release workflows for certified autonomy components.
• Build conformance-test strategy with DevSecOps, V&V, autonomy and safety stakeholders.
• Maintain platform documentation for external contributors and internal teams.

Education & experience

Platform API draft issued; conformance gate defined; isolation strategy baselined; onboarding workflow tested with at least one autonomy component; T1/T2 interface rules documented.
