As part of the IT Infrastructure, Cyber and Market (IT ICM) team of the group’s Information Systems, the system & network administrator is responsible for:
- Maintaining services and solutions in operational conditions (administration, supervision, application updates of equipment, systems, and software, etc.).
- Providing support for all infrastructure elements and other technical elements implemented by the group Information Systems department.
- Participating in improving the operational service, protecting the information system (Application Hosting, Integration Platform, Servers, Workstations, Firewall, WAN, LAN, Video Conferencing, Remote Access, Internet Filtering, POI, DMZ, etc.) and implementing various standards in coordination with project managers and local teams.
What you’ll do
Mission 1 : Operational Management
- Lead and supervise central/global operations, maintain architecture and standards of cloud, servers, network, telecom and video conference infrastructure and services you’re responsible for.
- Manage daily the main strategic suppliers (Cisco, Meraki, Cloud Solutions like Integration Platform, etc.) and lead relevant meetings (e.g., ITSM).
- Support application, technical and support teams at the international level.
- Control and manage level 2 and level 3 incidents in collaboration with local IT Service Desk and end users.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce processes with Service Providers and IT Teams to facilitate operational tasks using market standards (e.g., ITIL Service Management).
- Ensure interface between internal teams and subcontractors (Operations, WAN, cloud solutions) with direct contact.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting (e.g., activities, SLAs).
- Lead resolution of problems and organize troubleshooting sessions with relevant people to solve major issues.
- Configure and install network equipment or software when applicable (e.g., servers, identity management, firewalls, switches/routers, patching network cables, software or VMs in Clarins environments).
- Occasionally travel to all Clarins sites (approximately 1 trip per month) to ensure deployments and maintenance or support operations. May require after-hours or weekend work for maintenance.
- Be accountable for meeting or exceeding service level metrics on reliability, availability, scalability and performance.
Mission 2 : Project Support & Coordination
- Participate in technical project implementations (identify tasks, evaluate efforts and timing, contribute in your area to task realization).
- Identify the needs and technical means necessary for project implementation.
- List and plan activities related to projects or requests with stakeholders.
- Propose solutions to integrate needs into Clarins Infrastructure (Infrastructure & Security).
- Support solution implementations with internal teams and subsidiaries.
- Produce technical documentation (DAT, DEX) for implemented solutions.
- Collaborate with Clarins IT teams and internal clients (business project support).
- Supervise and manage external service providers who maintain systems and work on technical solutions.
- Follow internal project methodology.
Mission 3 : Apply, Enforce & Control System & Network Policy & Standards
- Ensure proper implementation and application of group-defined standards.
- Follow group technology governance and enhance governance when needed.
- Document technical solutions and keep documentation updated during developments or corrective actions.
- Work with the CISO to ensure security policy implementation.
- Be a driving force for proposals to improve processes, standards, and services.
Mission 4 : Reporting / Communication
- Be responsible for reporting technical activities to the System and Networks manager.
- Report status and progress regularly to requesters, project managers and stakeholders (Azure Cloud, Application, Network, Firewall, Systems, Servers, etc.).
You are
- Effective in oral and written communication, including English, able to lead activities and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-oriented, flexible, and open-minded.
- Analytical with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A team player with the ability to work in a project mode.
- Fluent in English.
You have
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Networks, and Telecommunications, or an engineering degree in related fields.
- Over 7 years of IT experience, with more than 4 years in a similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructures, technical architecture, applications, and services.
- International work experience.
- Proficiency in documenting standards and participating in project implementations.
- Knowledge of ITIL (Incident/Change Management) processes.
Technical & Methodological Skills
- Application Hosting, Cloud Architecture — Microsoft Azure, Route Express, etc.
- Global Infrastructure Services — DNS, NTP, DHCP, SNMP, SFTP, IIS.
- Virtualisation Environment — ESX VMWare, VDI Horizon.
- Operating System (Windows, Linux) — PowerShell.
- Network Knowledge (WAN/LAN/WIFI) — Cisco IOS, subnetting/VLAN, Routing BGP/OSPF, VPN IPsec/SSL, MPLS, NPS/RADIUS, Meraki, NAT, NetFlow, Monitoring Tools (e.g., Nagios).
- Security — Palo Alto/FortiGate, DMZ, F5, Zscaler, Security Rules, Certificates, OpenSSL, Filtering.
- Directory & Authentication — AD, ADConnect, Azure AD, ADFS, Kerberos.
- Video Conferencing — Yealink, Cisco.
- Microsoft Environment — Azure, AWS, Office 365, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.
- Database Notions — SQL Server, Oracle.
- Scheduler — OpCon, Task Scheduler, Crontab.
- Processes & Standards — Prince2, Agile, PMI, COBIT/ITIL, ISO 27001.
