A luxury fashion brand in Paris seeks a Transport Manager to develop logistics strategies and manage transport operations. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in logistics, strong management and communication skills, and be familiar with customs regulations. The role involves overseeing carrier selection, budget management, and team development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Transportation, Customs, Distribution in Retail, Ecommerce, or Freight Forwarding.
  • Luxury environment experience preferred but not essential.

Responsabilités

  • Contribute to building the regional transport strategy.
  • Select carriers and negotiate rates.
  • Build and monitor the transport budget.
  • Manage the performance of the regional transport organization.
  • Lead Monthly KPI reports.
  • Monitor deliveries to boutiques.
  • Be a brand ambassador for the company.

Description du poste
Key Responsibilities of role:
  • Based on business requirements and overall Logistics strategy, to contribute for building the regional transport strategy: 1 / for the inbound flow from central DC to Europe, 2 / for the internal European transfers, 3 / for regional customers deliveries 4 / for all other various regional flow (shuttle from Italy to the studio, F&F, on demand event, press, recycling company…)
  • To participate to the structural projects of the company: OMS, TMS implementation, …
  • Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with them
  • To build and monitor the budget and share with finance team
  • To manage the development and performance of the regional transport organization to produce an efficient transport service against pre‑agreed targets of cost, lead time, quality and sustainability
  • Lead the Monthly KPI reports [Performance + Costs + sustainability]
  • Provide sophisticated analysis and reporting on a daily / weekly / monthly basis on Transport activity
  • Develop new initiatives and look for new ways to optimise the transport services and work dedicated to it
  • Be aware of and identify external and unforeseen factors affecting performance, identifying risks
  • To check invoices accuracy vs rates agreed with carriers
  • Respond to and resolve complaints and problems
  • Support the coordination of all deliveries across our zone
  • Monitor deliveries to boutiques according to our transport planning (more than 40 point of deliveries)
  • Monitor deliveries from boutiques (transfers and distance selling)
  • Even if the main scope of responsibility is Europe, on demand, to be occasionally the back up for Middle East and India (MEI): on transport matters
  • To collect on a regular basis the boutiques requirements and to have a continuous improvement approach with them
  • To maintain the update of procedures about transportation, custom, CITES purposes into Confluence
  • Keep up to date on shipping carriers, routes and rates and any changes to them
  • Maintain responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related regulations (e.g. customs, preferential origin, hazardous goods, CITES, …)
  • To guarantee the archiving of customs documents for audit purpose
  • To guarantee the validity of the customs authorisation and ensure the update of them if needed (REX, Exportateur Agréé, …)
  • To manage a team of 1 or 2 persons
  • Ensuring that the transport team understands its duties and its role within the organization
  • Contribute to training and development of the team and organisation as a whole
  • Undertake other relevant duties as may be requested by the Logistics Director and support on projects as required
  • Be a brand ambassador and represent the Company professionally at all times
Skills and Requirements:
  • In‑depth knowledge of industry‑standard methods, costs and best practices for hauling freight
  • Custom expert for international trade
  • Preferably at least a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position with experience in Transportation, Customs, Distribution in a Retail, Ecommerce and / or Freight Forwarding environment. Luxury environment is preferred but is not essential.
  • Management skills

  • Excellent administration and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel is a must
  • Excellent Reporting / Presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
