Petstock Group is seeking a dedicated grooming assistant to join our team. You will perform grooming tasks, bathe and brush dogs, and support the Senior Groomer while delivering memorable customer interactions in-store.

We value a passion for animals, the ability to manage dogs with different temperaments, and a willingness to learn. Weekend availability and physical fitness to lift up to 20 kg are important.

Qualifications

• Passion for animals and delivering great customer service.
• Confident around dogs of various temperaments.
• Willing to work hard to become an outstanding groomer.
• A relevant grooming qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in a similar environment is helpful.
• Must be physically capable of handling dogs and lifts up to 20 kg.
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide outstanding grooming services.
• Support the Senior Groomer with daily grooming tasks.
• Bathe and brush dogs prior to grooming.
• Assist store team and deliver excellent customer service.
• Coordinate customer bookings in the grooming salon.
• Ensure safe handling and transfer of animals within the store.
• Work with the team to help achieve sales goals.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset within the team.

• Provide outstanding grooming services
• Support the Senior Groomer in completing daily grooming tasks
• Bathe and brush dogs prior to grooming
• Assist store shop floor team when required, providing exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Assist with the coordination of customer bookings in the grooming salon
• Ensure the appropriate handling and safe transfer of animals within the store
• Work with the team to achieve and exceed set sales goals
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

• Confident being around animals as you will be exposed to dogs with lots of different personalities
• Motivated to take that next step in your career and willing to work hard to become the best Groomer you can be
• A relevant qualification is preferred but not essential - as long as you bring a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn!
• Experience in a similar environment
• Our dog customers come in all shapes, sizes and weight, so you will need to be physically fit and have a good understanding of dog behaviours to ensure all interactions are safe for you and your customers
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products and animals up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
