Description du poste

We are a fast-growing fintech providing invoice financing solutions to SMEs in France and the UK (and we are expanding into other EU jurisdictions). Our lending activity is funded through a combination of structured financing vehicles, including securitisation SPVs and trust-based structures in France. As we scale, we are expanding and optimising our funding stack, including new facilities, additional funding compartments, and alternative structures such as forward flow and on-balance-sheet first-loss funding.

Why this role, why now ?

This is a priority hire for the finance function. We have a bank refinancing later this year, and a Series B fundraise targeted in the next 18 months, all of which run through this role. Getting the funding stack, lender reporting, and capital strategy right now materially de-risks diligence on each of these events.

We are looking for a hands-on Capital Markets Director to take ownership of our funding structures and lender relationships. This role sits at the intersection of capital markets, data, and operations and is critical to ensuring accurate reporting, covenant compliance, and optimal utilisation of our funding facilities.

You will work closely with the CFO, external banks, calculation agents, trustees, rating agencies, legal advisors, and internal data and product teams. This is not a purely strategic role; we are looking for someone who can both negotiate and execute.

Capital Markets & Funding
  • Own and manage existing structured financing vehicles, including securitisation SPVs (FCT, via Nomura) and Fiducie-sûreté (Security Trusts)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for banks, financing institutions, calculation agents, trustees, rating agencies, bondholders, and shareholders.
  • Manage the relationship with IQEQ (vendor management and substance)
  • Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of:
  • Term sheets
  • Amendments and waivers
  • Negotiate eligibility criteria, concentration limits, advance rates, and covenants with lenders
  • Support the structuring and execution of new funding initiatives, including
  • Additional SPV compartments
  • New lenders within existing structures
  • Alternative funding solutions (e.g. forward flow, balance-sheet first-loss funding)
  • New vehicle structuring for EU expansion
Reporting & Covenants
  • Own all lender and investor reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including the weekly borrowing base across all funding vehicles
  • Ensure full compliance with:
  • Eligibility criteria
  • Covenants and undertakings
  • Triggers and early amortisation events
  • Own covenant monitoring and concentration assurance
  • Provide oversight of the loan allocation algorithm, in partnership with data engineering
  • Translate legal documentation into operational and data requirements
  • Proactively identify and mitigate covenant or performance risks
  • Produce monthly and quarterly bank/fund reporting packs
Financing Events & Capital Strategy
  • Lead end-to-end execution of upcoming financing events, including the bank refinancing, bond refinancing, and Series B fundraise
  • Prepare investor materials, manage the data room, and coordinate advisors
  • Manage roadshow logistics and investor narrative
  • Own the bond programme and refinancing strategy
  • Set hedging strategy linked to the funding vehicles
  • Shape cash strategy relative to AUM growth and first-loss capital
  • Own cost of funds optimisation across the funding stack
  • Identify forward funding gaps ahead of need
  • Build and maintain financial and funding models, including:
  • Facility utilisation and availability
  • Cost of funds and margin optimisation
  • Stress and downside scenarios
  • Optimise the use of funding facilities to minimise funding costs and maximise gross profit
  • Work closely with the data function to define, validate, and improve data pipelines feeding funding models and reports
