Capital Fund Management (CFM) is seeking a senior Business Controller in Paris to lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis. You will forecast revenues and expenses, create management reports, and deliver insights to executives.

The role reports to the Head of HR & Finance and partners with various business units to drive value. The successful candidate will have a Master’s in Finance and at least five years in management accounting or corporate finance within banking or asset

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering with Finance focus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, corporate finance, or a similar role in banking/asset management.
• Rigorous, detail-oriented, and highly analytical.
• Excellent written and oral communication and synthesis skills.
• Experience using AI to optimize existing processes.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain financial planning tools supporting strategic decisions.
• Develop annual budgets aligned with business objectives and forecast revenues monthly.
• Forecast expenses (including staff costs) quarterly and monitor variances.
• Provide monthly and annual management reports: revenues, costs, profitability by line, headcount, and KPIs.
• Collaborate with business units, support transformation projects with financial analysis, ensure policy compliance.

YOUR ROLE

CFM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Controller.

This role is in finance and reports to the Head of HR & Finance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Build and maintain financial planning tools to support strategic decision-making
• Develop annual budgets aligned with business objectives
• Forecast annual revenues on a monthly basis
• Forecast annual expenses (including staff costs) on a quarterly basis
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and identify root causes of variances
• Identify trends and patterns to inform future planning
• Create internal monthly and annual management reports covering:
• Revenues, expenses, and profitability by business line
• Headcount and staff cost analysis
• Key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
• Provide actionable insights to support management decision-making
• Present financial performance to senior management and stakeholders

Cost Management & Optimization

• Monitor operating costs across all departments
• Identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities with implementation roadmaps
• Analyze profitability by investment strategy, product line and client segment
• Control expenses through variance monitoring and process improvements
• Support process efficiency initiatives to optimize resource utilization

Treasury & Cash Management

• Optimize cash investments to maximize returns while managing risk
• Optimize FX positioning to manage currency risk and capture gains/losses
• Monitor liquidity and working capital requirements
• Forecast cash flow requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with business units to understand operational drivers and financial impact
• Support operational and transformation projects with financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with audit and compliance teams on control frameworks

YOUR SKILLS

• Master's degree (Business School or Engineering School, Corporate Finance)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, corporate finance or similar role in banking/asset management
• Rigor, attention to detail, analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication (synthesis)
• Use of AI to optimize existing processes
