Responsibilities

• Define biomarker measurement strategies and select CROs or internal labs.
• Lead biomarker assay plans from preclinical stages through clinical development.
• Define and ensure a fit-for-purpose analytical validation strategy for biomarkers.
• Provide scientific expertise on genomics, proteomics, IHC, and flow cytometry.
• Collaborate with project teams, CROs, and stakeholders to deliver assays.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging biomarker technologies.
• Contribute to biomarker strategy discussions and cross-functional decisions.
• Ensure biomarker activities align with development timelines and project goals.

As a Biomarker Assay Strategy Leader, you will drive biomarker assay implementation from late research stages through Proof of Concept (PoC) and beyond, ensuring alignment with biomarker plans and project objectives across the drug development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the most appropriate biomarker measurement strategies and identify suitable CROs or internal laboratories.
• Lead the implementation and execution of biomarker assay plans from preclinical stages through clinical development.
• Define and ensure the appropriate Fit-for-Purpose analytical validation strategy for biomarker assays.
• Provide scientific expertise on biomarker technologies, including genomics, proteomics, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry.
• Collaborate with project teams, CROs, and stakeholders to ensure successful assay development and delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging biomarker technologies and analytical methodologies.
• Contribute to biomarker strategy discussions and support cross-functional decision-making.
• Ensure biomarker activities are aligned with development timelines and project objectives.

Education

• PhD in Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Physiology, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience

• Strong experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven experience supporting biomarker assay strategies and implementation.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of genomics, proteomics, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry.
• Expertise in Oncology, Neurology, or Immunology/Inflammation.
• Experience working with CROs and external scientific partners.
• Understanding of biomarker assay development and validation strategies.

Languages

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
