Responsabilités

Overview

Under the hierarchical authority of the Unit Head and her Deputy, you will contribute to the activities of the European Union Reference Laboratory for Listeria monocytogenes (EURL Lm), part of the Food Safety Laboratory, Maisons-Alfort site / Salmonella and Listeria Unit (SEL) / Reference Team.

Responsibilities

• Performing microbiological analyses under ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Participating in the organization of Inter-Laboratory Proficiency Tests under ISO 17043 accreditation.
• Planning of technical activities.
• Sample preparation following random coding to ensure data confidentiality.
• Performing homogeneity and stability tests.
• Shipping and receiving packages.
• Contributing to the drafting of campaign plans.
• Supporting the organization of training sessions and other network activities for official laboratories. Trainings are delivered, under the supervision of a scientific project manager, in English, either on-site or abroad.
• Participating in the management of the strain collection, in collaboration with the other two teams of the unit.
• Ensuring good laboratory practices (compliance with quality procedures, material traceability and consumables management, waste disposal, cleaning, etc.).
• Participating in transversal tasks for the overall functioning of the unit (administrative support, lab room responsibilities, control of culture media).

Your profile

Required education and experience: BTS, DUT or professional bachelor’s degree in microbiology.
