Job summary

SeqOne Inc. is seeking a Bioinformatics Engineer to design, build and operate production-grade pipelines for oncology and rare disease data.

You will partner with research and product teams to translate scientific needs into reliable software, lead code quality efforts, and promote best practices to ensure reproducible, scalable analyses. With a Master’s in Bioinformatics/CS and at least 2 years of bioinformatics development experience, you will work across Montpellier/Paris in France and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Bioinformatics, CS or related field; at least 2 years in bioinformatics development.
• Experience with Python, UNIX/Linux, and Bash.
• Experience with workflow managers (Snakemake, Nextflow).
• Familiarity with Git and Docker; reproducible environments."
• Strong communication, teamwork, autonomy and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate production-grade bioinformatics apps and pipelines.
• Partner with research and product teams to translate scientific needs into reliable software.
• Lead code quality efforts: reviews, testing, CI/CD.
• Help team adopt best practices to ensure analyses are reproducible and scalable.
• Share knowledge through documentation and training for users and teammates.
• Track new methods/technologies and integrate them when relevant.
• Contribute to publications and presentations.
