Job summary

Eliis invites a final-year software engineering student to join our Montpellier office for a six-month full-time internship to design and build a new base map viewer in PaleoScan™.

You will work within the development team on C++ code, geospatial data handling, and open-source GIS libraries, with a dedicated supervisor, regular code reviews, and exposure to our seismic interpretation platform.

Qualifications

• Final-year software engineering or computer science student.
• Good level in modern C++, and able to work in a large codebase.
• Familiarity with Git, CMake, unit tests and debugging; able to read English documentation.

Responsibilities

• Turn user feedback into a specification with your supervisor.
• Develop a base map viewer in C++, building on existing PaleoScan™ viewers.
• Work with geospatial data, coordinate systems and open-source GIS libraries.
• Test on real projects, write documentation and present work to the team.
