Air Apps in Lisbon is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the server-side components powering our AI-driven PRP platform. You will collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-based backend services.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) including serverless compute.
• Solid knowledge of Clean Code and Clean Architecture practices.
• Experience with API design (REST) and cloud-native application development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing tools, and Git workflows.
• Strong grasp of security principles, data protection, and compliance practices.
• Effective communicator and proactive team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful or GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Model data and manage queries using Supabase and PostgreSQL.
• Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run and cloud functions.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to QA practices.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization with data protection.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and incident response for backend services.
• Collaborate in architecture discussions and document decisions.
