Vizzia is hiring a backend engineer to own large parts of the edge and cloud backends for video surveillance products. You will work on camera communication, edge storage, and cloud APIs, with a focus on reliability, audit trails and data integrity in a regulated public sector context.

You will operate across edge to cloud pipelines, use TypeScript/Node, and collaborate with a senior tech lead in a small, ownership-driven team. Hybrid work, Paris offices, and BSPCE are offered.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of backend experience with SaaS focus.
• Production TypeScript/Node experience required.
• Experience building event-driven distributed systems.
• Engineering degree or Master's in a relevant field.
• Curiosity about networks, protocols and systems.
• Experience with AI coding tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own edge backend services for field units (camera, storage).
• Design and operate cloud backend APIs and data layers.
• Architect shared ingestion layer and ensure data integrity.
• Lead production incidents on edge or cloud components.
• Maintain quality with ADRs, CI tests, and monorepo conventions.
• Collaborate with PM and legal constraints (GDPR, audit trails).
