Europ Assistance in Saint-Denis is seeking an Apprentice Auditor to support the audit team in delivering comprehensive audit solutions. You will assist in conducting interviews, analyze internal controls, and draft audit deliverables. A Master’s degree in business, preferably with a focus on insurance and finance, is required, along with excellent communication skills.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team for a one-year internship that allows for partial remote work.

Qualifications

• MSc or MBA with emphasis on insurance and finance.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is optional.
• Familiarity with SolvencyII and GDPR regulations is a plus.

Job Overview

We are embarking on a journey of audit innovation. The Apprentice Auditor will support the audit team in delivering comprehensive audit solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver audit plans, participating in interviews with auditees, and conducting audit testing for assigned scope.
• Analyze internal controls, documentation, and evidence provided by auditees, and propose remedial actions.
• Assist in drafting audit deliverables, including reports and recommendations.
• Perform data analysis using data‑mining tools such as IDEA, ensuring data quality and accurate recording in the audit system.
• Monitor implementation of remedial actions, evaluate evidence during issue‑follow‑up and maintain a collaborative relationship with the business.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• MSc or MBA from a business school, with emphasis on insurance and finance.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is optional.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Audit knowledge: evaluate and enhance internal controls, conduct risk assessment, apply audit tools and methodology.
• Understanding of insurance functions and ability to discuss issues with various departments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficiency: advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Traits: curious, organized, autonomous, meticulous, good interpersonal skills.
