SPARCC seeks an IFP Attorney to provide direct representation to survivors of domestic, dating and sexual violence in injunction for protection proceedings and related filings. The position focuses on South Sarasota County and DeSoto County, with primary office in Venice and additional offices in Sarasota and Arcadia.

Requires a JD from an accredited law school and at least two years of litigation experience; Florida bar in good standing.

Qualifications

• Requires JD from an accredited law school and two years of litigation experience, preferably representing survivors of domestic, dating and sexual violence or prosecuting batterers in related matters.
• Florida licensed attorney in good standing with no prior disciplinary proceedings.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct legal representation to survivors in injunction for protection proceedings and filing affidavits of violation of injunctions.
• Assess survivors' other needs and refer to services.
• Conduct community outreach to develop partnerships and monitor project deliverables.
