University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks an Associate Director to provide leadership for public services, develop policies, and guide staff at OU‑Tulsa. The role includes HR responsibilities, staff mentoring, and fostering excellence in reference and instructional services.

Active involvement in governance, professional development, and collaboration with faculty will support student and campus needs and promote innovative library services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Five+ years of professional experience in an academic or health sciences library setting.
• Two+ years of managerial experience in an academic or health sciences library setting.
• Commitment to service excellence and positive staff relations.

Responsabilités

• Lead library public services and policy development for OU‑Tulsa.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop library staff and direct reports.
• Oversee reference, instruction, and research support services.
• Use assessment data to drive evidence‑based action plans for the library.
• Engage with campus leadership, faculty, and student associations to understand needs.
