A global technology company in Lyon is seeking an experienced z/OS System Programmer. The role involves managing incidents, supporting IMS & CICS systems, and providing technical consultation. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience, with fluency in English and French. This position includes on-call duties and participation in various projects.
We are seeking a z/OS System Programmer who can work with both CICS and IMS to join our team at a client's facility in Lyon, Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes, France. As a member of one of our global teams, you will be assigned to various tasks, both run‑time and one‑time delivery, supporting our customers with technical activities related to your expertise. The job includes on‑call duty, approximately every 6th week.

You will become a member of the global IMS team, assigned to various tasks, both run‑time and one‑time supporting shared services for customers like Volvo, HM, VCC etc. for technical activities related to your expertise. The area to support is IMS & IMS DB troubleshooting and support, planning and implementation of software, and management of existing lifecycle. Provide technical consultation to other areas of the company. The job includes on‑call duty, approx. every 6th week. Mandatory skills: IMS & IMS DB z/OS skills, JCL. DBA Tools: BMC (MAXM + MV). Automation: Netview. Programming: JCL, Rexx, PL/1. Good knowledge of troubleshooting. Fluency in English, both orally and in writing. Secondary/preferred skills: Web Connectivity, Programming: Cobol, Assembler, MQ, DB2, TWS, CICS experience. To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies. To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution. To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive service improvement plans. To independently resolve tickets ensuring the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met. To provide support for on‑call escalations / L3 level support and incident & problem management. Work on value adding activities such knowledge base updates, training freshers, coaching analysts, conducting interviews and participation in hiring drives.
