Job summary

LVMH invites applications for the Assistant Studio Knitwear and Jersey – Internship in Paris. This six-month program starts in January (womenswear) or March (menswear) and requires a portfolio.

You’ll explore fashion trends, assist in knitwear and jersey development, draft flat sketches, and support sampling and presentation tasks across the studio. Ideal candidates have a fashion design background, strong Photoshop/Illustrator skills, and a collaborative mindset; English, French, or Italian

Qualifications

• BA or MA in Fashion Design or Textile Design (a valid internship agreement from your current school is mandatory)
• A genuine passion for fashion with a creative research mindset
• A strong understanding of knitwear design principles and textile construction
• Strong proficiency in Photoshop and/or Illustrator
• Completed at least one graduation collection or previous experience in a design studio
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent in English, French or Italian is a plus

Responsibilities

• Research fashion trends, concepts, and textile innovations.
• Support the design and technical development of knitted fabrics and jersey garments.
• Assist in the technical development of knitwear and jersey garments, including drafting clear flat sketches.
• Aid in sampling, prototyping, and refinement stages of new designs.
• Maintain an organized system for yarns, swatches, fabric samples, and digital design files.
• Provide crucial support to the knitwear team during collection development cycles and fashion week.
• Work with other departments.
• Carry out general day-to-day tasks to support the smooth running of the Studio.
• Assist in organizing team meetings and preparing presentations.
